Restaurant

Arthurs Chalet has a fully licensed bar and restaurant, we can cater for groups & events with a specially designed menu to suit your needs and budget. Please contact us for an individually prepared quotation.

The restaurant cuisine is traditional kiwi fare, great home-cooking, we use the best quality and the freshest ingredients possible. We use local vegetable produce and meat when available.

LUNCH MENU: Friday, Saturday & Sunday: 12pm - 3pm

Garlic Bread
Grilled with garlic & parsley, (six slices) (Vegetarian).

Soup of the Day
Ask staff or see blackboard for today's soup; served with one slice of garlic bread.

Seafood Chowder
Thick and creamy, made the traditional way; served with one slice of garlic bread.

Mixed Grill
Hash browns, sausages, bacon, eggs, mushroom & tomatoes.

Bangers & Mash
Sausages served on mash and covered with rich gravy.

The Pass Burger
Choose from; Beef, Chicken or Vegetarian burger stacked with bacon, lettuce, tomato, beetroot, onion, tomato sauce, served with golden fries (Vegetarian).

Beer Battered Fish & Chips
Speight’s beer battered fish, served with golden fries, salad & tartar sauce.

DINNER MENU: Daily: 5.30pm - 9pm

LIGHT MEALS

Spiced Pumpkin Penne Pasta
Spiced pumpkin sauce with penne and natural yoghurt; with two slices of garlic bread (Vegetarian).

Chicken & Mushroom Penne Pasta
Chicken breast and mushroom cooked in a creamy white wine sauce; with two slices of garlic bread.

Smoked Salmon & Shrimp Filo
Finely sliced smoked salmon* and shrimp filo parcel, served with a summer side salad and served with two slices of garlic bread.

MAINS

Aubergine & Portobello Mushrooms
Herb stuffed aubergine* (eggplant) with Portobello mushrooms, chargrilled capsicum, melted feta cheese, on baked kumara, with a creamy pepper sauce (Vegetarian).

Stuffed Chicken Breast
Pesto and feta stuffed chicken breast; wrapped in streaky bacon; served on an olive and garlic mash, with seasonal vegetables.

New Zealand Lamb of the Day
See blackboard for today's specialty.

Rolled Pork Roast
Generous serving of stuffed and rolled pork rib roast; with roast vegetables and home-made apple sauce.

West Coast Rump Steak Cooked exactly how you like it!
Choose from: Mash potato or golden fries.
